The plant care for these hardy shrubs is extremely simple, for these round perennials are tolerant of various conditions. These dense dark green beauties tolerate both full sun and part shade.

These plants do best when planted in well-drained soil and are fairly drought tolerant. Apply an all-purpose fertilizer in the growing seasons of spring and summer for optimal growth.

As a shorter and more compact brother of the Winter Gem Boxwood, the Baby Gem Boxwoods only grow naturally small. Reaching about 3 feet tall and wide, the Baby Gem’s dense, evergreen foliage makes it perfect for shearing into a small, formal hedge.
