Garden Goods Direct Carex Ice Dance

A bright groundcover for a shady spot. Carex Ice Dance or Ice Dance Japanese Sedge has long shiny leaves trimmed in bright white. It spreads slowly to fill in and make a tidy cover that discourages weeds. Deer and disease resistant, it is long-lasting and easy to grow!

These landscaping plants feature grass-like, stiff leaves which are dark green in the center with clean white borders. The moderate spreading habit of this sedge facilitates covering woodland areas as a groundcover.

This sedge is evergreen in the South, maintaining a good appearance in both summer and winter, but is not evergreen in northern areas, although some foliage color will persist through the winter, but it will need cut back in the spring. Carex Ice Dance will brighten a shady area. Adds soothing movement to the garden when foliage dances in the breeze.
