The Pink Kousa Dogwood is easier to grow than the American flowering dogwood (Cornus Kousa) and less prone to diseases like powdery mildew. They grow best in rich garden soils that are moist but well-drained. It is hardy in zones 5 to 9 and it grows in all areas. Deer typically don’t bother Kousa dogwoods so they’re perfect for areas with heavy deer pressure.
