Evergreen Euonymus Green Spire or Box-Leaved Euonymus make for a great low growing privacy hedge or buffer screen around utilities and air conditioning units. These shrubs are a great replacement plant for boxwoods due to having the same leaf shape and evergreen qualities.

Euonymus Green Spire will grow to be about 6 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of up to 2 feet. It grows at a fast rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 30 years or more.

Green Spire shrubs can be planted directly into the areas where the infected boxwoods have been removed from with no waiting period. These can be trimmed or pruned into the same shapes and sizes as the boxwoods they are replacing. As an added bonus, Euonymus have a faster growth rate than boxwoods so they will be quicker to fill in the affected areas.
