Yucca filamentosa Excalibur is compact, easy to care for evergreen shrubs. They feature unique blue-green to gray sword-shaped leaves adorned with curly white filaments along their edges. The tips of the dusky blue sword-like leaves can be sharp at the ends. In early to midsummer, the Yucca filamentosa ‘Excalibur’ is topped with a flowering stalk that can reach 5 feet tall. These flowering stalks feature elegant, creamy white bell-shaped flowers.
The Yucca filamentosa Excalibur, sometimes called the Adam’s Needle, is highly tolerant of wind, heat, humidity and is drought tolerant. They grow quickly in full sunlight, in dry to medium moisture with well-drained soils. They are commonly used for garden borders, planted in rock gardens, and placed in city or coastal gardens.
